New Terrain, New Features, Last Day of Early Season Ticket Pricing and Some Amazing Conditions- Get Up Here!

Good Morning Riders! What an epic week at Bear Mountain Resort ! We had an additional 5-7″ of natural snow on top of last week’s 8-11″! We have also had an amazing week for making our signature snow ! What does this mean to you as you arrive at the resort this morning? It means you are in for a fun filled, sunny day of epic riding in some awesome conditions ! Our trail count and lift count have gone up along with the feature count! If you haven’t been up in the last couple of days, you will find a whole new mountain today! At 9 am this morning we will be adding Chair 4 and Chair 2 into the mix! With that comes access to the steeps of Silver Mountain where riders will be able to hit Exhibition for the first runs of the season as well as everyone’s favorite beginner park- Amusement Park ! Clayton and the Park Crew have 6 snow features out there for you and 30 jibs ! Let’s go! What a week for Snow Summit Mountain Resort! We are ready for the weekend!

We have had 5-7″ of natural snow on top of the 8-11″ that fell last week. We have also had great conditions to make snow this week with the cooling temperatures. Good news is that with all this new snow our base has increased to 12-26 inches! This week saw the addition of classic trails like Upper Westridge, Zzyzx and Ego Trip.

The latest new trails and chairs open: Upper Westridge / Zzxyz Chair 3 We’re expecting Mother Nature to deliver fresh powder overnight. Coffee and breakfast are served at the Summit Inn as early as 8:30 am.

The Fun Continues Tomorrow…

We had a blast today making some turns!  We were able to reopen Chair 9 for top to bottom terrain due to the almost foot of the fresh natural snow we received yesterday and also thanks to our world class snowmaking system! Tomorrow is on point to open more terrain as we have already kicked on the snow guns now that the temperatures are dropping! Tomorrow we will have beginner terrain as we plan to open Chair 7 and that also means that we will be starting to host lessons here at our resort! It’s looking like this cold weather plans to stick around for awhile so we expect to be able to open more and more terrain as we lead up to Christmas! So if you’re dreaming of a white Christmas, make your plans to come up to Big Bear for the holidays!
