New Runs Open!
We have opened Chair 2 servicing upper Summit Run, meaning we now have Low Intermediate Terrain from the top of the summit! Note that the Low Intermediate Terrain ends once the trail merges with Miracle Mile (Intermediate). Next to open will be lower Summit Run and Ego Trip. Riders are reporting that the packed powder is perfect.

We have the best conditions of the season!
Snow Summit and Bear Mountain are the ONLY SoCal resorts open for you to enjoy all the fresh snow! We got 8-11″ yesterday and have been making snow since about 10 pm last night. Our snowmakers are working very hard to get more runs open and features built. We are hoping to have Summit Run and Westridge open VERY SOON.

What a pleasant surprise this storm has brought! We’re now at 8-11 inches of natural snowfall and we’re ready to start snowmaking as soon as we get a chance! Be sure to join us this weekend and if you’re traveling through the mountain area you’ll want to keep up with our Snow Report for all the latest updates including road conditions! An Eventful Day of Snowfall!

Forecasters are sticking to their guns as of this morning and still calling for a major winter storm to roll through the region with the kind of cooler, drier air behind it that we love to make snow in! Things may get pretty stormy for a while. The National Weather Service predicts wind gusts could hit 50 mph as a front moves through

Grab your gear and head to the Resort; We are open today…no really we are. We have new snowmaking with a depth of 6-18″, machine groomed hard pack that will soften as the day goes on.
