Snow Summit and Bear Mountain now have 10 lifts available serving the most open terrain in So Cal! Chair 1 at Snow Summit is open accessing Miracle Mile top-to-bottom. Chair 2 is open accessing Summit run top-to-bottom. Happy Opening Day!

It’s the day we’ve all been waiting for! Chair 1 opens today accessing Miracle Mile top-to-bottom for intermediate to advanced skiers and snowboarders as well as Chair 8 accessing Bear Bottom Beginner Area. 2 Inches of Fresh Snow Plus Snowmaking!

Snow Summit received 2 inches of fresh natural snow and we have also been making snow since early last night.  We have packed powder conditions andthe snow coverage is good on Miracle Mile, Upper Summit Run and the Bear Bottom Beginner Area.  Today’s forecast calls for even more snow, and the snowmaking looks favorable for the rest of the week. Although high wind warnings are in effect, Big Bear is not typically affected as we are not in the passes or canyons where the strongest winds occur.

Today is Opening Day!

It’s finally here!  Snow Summit opens today with plenty of runs to keep you skiing and riding all day long!  Start your day off on Chair 1, which accesses Miracle Mile top-to-bottom .  Then head over to Chair 2 to take some laps on Upper Summit Run or Chair 3 to access Upper Westridge, Zzyzx and Ego Trip .  Chair 8 is also open, accessing the Bear Bottom Beginner Area .  More lifts and runs will open as snowmaking continues. Chair 9/Park Run is open top-to-bottom at Bear Mountain.  Put your Dual Mountain lift ticket to use and hop on the Inter-Resort Shuttle to take advantage of TWO resorts for the price of one lift ticket.   In honor of Veterans Day, we are offering FREE lift tickets on Friday for all active duty and retired military veterans with proper ID.  Thanks for all your dedication!
