Yesterday’s 4 to 6 inches of snowfall was more than we expected! Snowmaking looks good with cold temps forecast for the next several nights. We’ve been making snow for nearly 12 hours and will continue at every opportunity. Opening day is just around the corner! Needless to say the Snow Summit Scenic Sky Chair is closed for the season

Snow Is Here
Mother Nature is jump starting our season with a little fresh snowfall! We expect to make snow tonight and the next few nights depending on the temperatures and humidity levels but we will not be open this weekend. Opening Day information will be announced as we get closer. If you want to come up and get your season pass so you are all set to go for opening day, you can visit the Season Pass office from 9-3 on Saturday and 9-1 on Sunday. Be sure to check the road conditions before your travels.

When is Opening Day?
Snow season is just around the corner! We’re experiencing cold overnight temps, but the days are still too warm for snowmaking. We still haven’t set an opening date, but we’ll be testing the snowmaking lines soon and we’ll keep you posted as we get more info. Our ski and snowboard season usually starts mid November and lasts all the way into April so go ahead and start counting down the days until opening day. We’ll email you the exact date as we get closer to winter 2011-12. Subscribe today for our daily email snow report .
